Vietnam’s tourism promoted in UK

More than 40 Vietnamese travel businesses have travelled to the United Kingdom to participate in the World Travel Market London (WTM London) 2019 that takes place from November 4-6.

The marketing and promotional plan for Vietnam-HCMC tourism features a series of activities, including exhibition on attracttions of the country and the southern hub, the Happy Hour presenting Vietnamese cuisine, an exchange between Vietnamese and British tourist enterprises, introduction of ITE HCMC 2020 and among others.
The European market is one of the stable and key markets in the tourism industry of Vietnam and HCMC particularly. In 2018, it was estimated at 184,000 English visitors to HCMC, accounting 60 percent of the toral number of visitors from the UK to Vietnam, becoming the 11th largest tourism market in the city.
The trip is co-organized by the Department of Tourism of HCMC, the Vietnam Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) and Vietnam Airlines.
There are currently 7 flights connecting London with Hanoi and HCMC. In addition, the decision on granting visa exemption to those who are British citizen passport holders travelling for tourism or business can enter Vietnam for up to a maximum of 15 days (inclusive of dates of entry and exit) without a visa until 30 June 2021 has been issued to revive tourism industry.
The leading global event for the travel industry, WTM London is held annually in November. It is the must-attend three-day business-to-business exhibition for the worldwide travel and tourism industry.
