The first flight carrying 180 passengers departed from Dong Hoi Airport on August 11, connecting the Vietnam’s central region and Thailand's northern localities.
The new service will be operational with two flights per week on Monday and Friday, using 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. The Quang Binh-Chiang Mai flight takes only 1 hour and 40 minutes.
A one-way ticket costs VND620,000 (US$27.3).
