Vietnamese startups connect with peers in world

It is forecast that startup market will be hotter when Saigon Innovation Hub (SIHUB) is going to keep hosting “Runway To The World” after the success in 2018 with the arrival of the first startup group from the South Korea.

Moreover, SIHUB launched the startup program with its German and Finland partners this year.
The program ‘Runway to the World’ is designed to connect local and international startups expand their market globally and introduce Vietnamese startups to foreign countries.
Right after the launch of the program, it has produced beneficial effect with more and more arrival of international startups to the S-shaped country to seek opportunities.
In the first year of the program, in November, 2018, it welcomed Korean Shinhan Future’s Lab, Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Center (MaGIC) and Singaporean Quest Ventures. SIHUB also received proposals from startups in Thailand, Finland, Australia, the US and Switzerland.
Three Korean startup groups and six Malaysian and Singaporean startups arrived in Vietnam in the program. Nine Vietnamese startups were also selected to Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea in August, October and December, 2018 respectively for trade promotion.
Lately, SIHUB welcomed five startups from South Korea on June 3, 2019 which introduced e-commercial applications to access to Vietnam’s market.
All international startups joining Runway To The World in Vietnam expected their products to have good position in the market and to receive more investment to perfect gradually thanks to investors’ opinions whereas Vietnamese startups wished to write their names on the map of global startup community.
Appearance of the experienced Korean startups helped Vietnamese peers to understand clearly their ideas for starting business plus helped Vietnamese startups to have good vision of foreign markets to adjust their strategies.
