Member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat cum President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man stated that gender equality in the science community has been more focused in Vietnam. However, due to certain insensitive policies as well as outdated and insufficient research equipment, female scientists in the country are still encountering various obstables. He hoped that all domestic female scientists could try their best to overcome those difficulties while the public should raise their own awareness on the valuable contribution of woman scientists nationwide.

The government is adjusting any unsuitable policies to give more favorable conditions for all females, especially scientists, to contribute to the development and gender equality.
