Gia Lai Province to hold largest technological exhibition in Vietnam

The Ministry of Science and Technology yesterday cooperated with Gia Lai Province People’s Committee to hold a press conference for the event ‘Technology Exhibition and Connection between Supply – Demand 2019’ (TechDemo).

This year’s TechDemo, themed ‘Technological Connection – Keeping Up with Industry 4.0’, is going to take place from November 24 to 26 in Pleiku City of Gia Lai Province, a promising urban area in the Central Highlands. There will be 8 main activities, some prominent of which are to integrate with investment promotion activities in Gia Lai Province. Others aim at offering trading opportunities for businesses invested in science – technology and innovative work.

In the framework of this event, there will be a talk about proper policies and technological trends to support enterprises, a conference about technology transfer and technique upgrading consultation, a discussion to connect supply and demand sources, and a meeting to link finance and technology between research institutes, universities and businesses.

Around 450 booths are expected to open for visitors, including 150 booths for technology demo in the fields of produce processing and preservation, mechanical engineering and supporting industry, information technology, electronics technology, Internet of Things, alternative and renewable energy, environmental protection. 120 booths will display the province’s specialty products. The last 180 booths will exhibit companies’ products.

There will also be an area for technique upgrading consultation, Business-to-business connection (B2B), and seminars on specific technological fields.

Statistics from the Ministry of Science and Technology reveal that in 2019, 289 technology connection activities have happened between Vietnam and other countries like the Republic of Korea, China, Singapore, Japan in various fields.

TechDemo is an annual event to display the comprehensive picture of technology development in Vietnam and to provide a chance for technology application into the reality, greatly contributing to the implementation of government’s Resolution on improving competitiveness capability of domestic companies and delivering a chance for scientists to use their research results in real life for the socio-economic development.
