Typhoon Kammuri approaching East Sea

According to the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, a newly- formed tropical storm in the eastern part of the Central- Philippines named Kammuri.

Yesterday afternoon, the eye of Kammuri was centered at 13 degrees north latitude and 125.5 degrees east longitude with its sustained winds of level 13- 14, equivalent to speed of 135- 165 kilometers per hour. 

In the next 24-48 hours, the dangerous zone is expected to respectively move westward and west- westward at 15-20 kilometers an hour.

By tomorrow morning, Kammuri is forecast to enter the East Sea.

At 1pm tomorrow, the tropical storm will be located at 15 degrees north latitude and 117.1 degrees east longitude, at around 500 kilometers from the Southwest Cay Islet.

Kammuri is expected to be at around 430 kilometers from the Southwest Cay Islet before weakening into a tropical depression in the later day. 

In order to actively respond to the typhoon, the Standing Office of Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the Office of National Committee on Incident, Disaster Response and Search and Rescue asked provinces and cities to timely provide information on its position as well as intensity, actively keep in touch with captains, ship owners.

Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls for regional countries and territories to create conditions for boats and vessels of Vietnamese fishermen to anchorin safe areas. 

In related weather news, the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center has just updated a warning of ongoing cold air mass in the Northern region. 

Temperatures across the Northern provinces and cities continue reducing sharply in the early morning and nighttime.
