Tropical depression nears shore

Due to an impact of tropical depression being weakened by typhoon Toraji, the southern- central, central highlands and southern coastal provinces and cities will experience spells of downpours and thunderstorms with high rainfall of 50-100mm.

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center said that the low pressure zone was located at 11 degrees north latitude and 110 degrees east longitude, at around 130 kilometers of the east- southeastward of Phan Rang (Ninh Thuan province) and around 240 kilometers of east- northeastward of La Gi (Binh Thuan province) this early morning. The strongest wind near the center gusted 50- 60 kilometers an hour. 

Within next 12-24 hours, the depression will move the westward and west- southwestward at 10 kilometers an hour.

From tonight, a flash flood is forecast to appear on local rivers from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan; therefore, people should take measures to prevent from landslide, heavy rainfall and the flooding.
