Newly- formed tropical depression nears East Sea

New tropical low- pressure system formed in the eastern territorial waters of the Central- Philippines yesterday.

The alert was issued by Japan Meteorological Agency and hydro-meteorological forecast and warning centers in the Asia-Pacific region.

The eye of the dangerous zone was located at 12.4 degrees north latitude and 103.9 degrees east longitude.

In the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move westward at around 10-15 kilometers an hour and be able to intensify into this year’s seventh storm hitting the East Sea. 

According to the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, the Northern region is experiencing a cold wave with an average temperature of 10-16 degrees Celsius. 

After the circulation of the tropical depression from former storm Nakri dissolved, the Southern and Southeastern regions have seen showers and sunny daytime.
