Cold front slams into northern region, rendering rain

A cold front has slammed into the northern region of Vietnam and started influence in some northern provinces and part of the north central region since December 24, reported National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center.
Today, the cold wave continues affecting other places in the northern region and spread to the central region making it cold with temperatures swinging from 15-18 degrees Celsius. The mercury will fall to 10-12 degrees in mountainous areas.
As a rule, when the northern region receives a cold front, the central region experiences heavy rainfall. So this cold wave will trigger medium to heavy rain in provinces from Nghe An to Khanh Hoa.
The southern region will not be affected by the cold front. It will be sunny in daytime and rainy in the afternoon and at night. The weather will be worse at the weekend.
