Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh visits and works at Military Hospital 175

On an occasion of the 74th founding anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army (1944-2018), Vietnamese Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh visited and worked at the Military Hospital 175 under Ministry of National Defense.

At the meeting, Director of Military Hospital 175 Nguyen Hong Son said that after 43 years of operation, the hospital has taken care of and treated health for senior officials from Da Nang to the Southern of Vietnam as well as Truong Sa island district and the Southern sea area. 

The hospital has also completed its task assigned by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee of 230,000 health insurance cards to serve people. The hospital is also building a multi-purpose emergency center for the region to share the medical burden for Ho Chi Minh City and to meritoriously be a strategic military hospital of the Southern army force.

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh highly appreciated the development of Military Hospital 175 in the previous years in accordance with the model of "military - civilian combination" hoping that the hospital should soon complete the works to improve the capacity of medical examination and treatment.

On the same day, District 2 Hospital celebrated its 10th anniversary and received the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit. 

District 2 Hospital was established and put into operation in February 2017 with an initial scale of only 60 beds in the condition of limited doctors, lack of facilities while the number of patients is too low with just 200-300 turns per day.

Up to now, District 2 Hospital has 527 beds, attracting 2,500 - 2,700 turns of patients per day.

The hospital has deployed and mastered high techniques such as laparoscopic surgeon treating stomach tumors, laparoscopic gallbladder surgery for gallstones, surgery to replace entire hip joints, surgery to replace half-hip joints, and capture MRI, esophageal stent insertion, etc.
