The National Center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting said the typhoon centered at 20.8 degrees north latitude, 118.5 degrees east longitude, 850km from the east eastern north of China’s Hainan Island at 60 to 75km per hour at 7am this morning.

Wind speed was at 80km near the center, reaching level 6.

In the next 24 hours, it is forecast to move west at 15km per hour and able to gain strength.

On September 13, it will center at 20.8 degrees north latitude, 111.5 degrees east longitude on the east northern part of Hainan Island. The strongest wind in near the center will be at 75-90km per hour, level 9.

In the next 48 to 72 hours, Bejirat is predicted to move west, at 20km per hour. On September 14, it will be at 20.8 degrees north latitude, 107.0 degrees east longitude, alongside the coastal provinces of Quang Ninh to Thanh Hoa.

The strongest winds near the center will reach at 60-75 km per hour, level 8.

Due to the impact of the typhoon, the sea area to the northeast of the northern East Sea is forecast to experience torrential rains, wind speed at 6-7.
