Traffic accidents down in June

The National Committee for Traffic Safety yesterday said traffic accidents killed 643 people and injured 1,348 others in June, a decrease of 16.93 percent compared to the same period last year.

 

The committee said the total number of traffic accidents nationwide was 1,569 cases in June.

For the first six months of 2017, the country saw 9,593 traffic accidents with 4,134 deaths and 7,935 injuries, down by 6.22 percent.

There was a decrease in road, railway and inland waterways accidents in the country.
