According to Mr. Nguyen Sy Huyen, Chairman of the Cam Nhuong Commune People’s Committee, at around 8:30am yesterday, at about 2-3 meters off the seashore of Chua Hamlet near the office of the Cam Nhuong Commune People’s Committee, schools of sardine suddenly appeared.
Seeing that, fishermen immediately used their net to catch them. Around three tons of them are then sold with the price of VND20,000 (approx. $0.87) per kilo.
Mr. Huyen shared that recently, in this area, there have been schools of herring, sardine, and greater amberjack coming near the seashore to find food. Yet this is the first time he has seen such a great number.
