“Run for the Oceans” attracts hundreds of people

The “Run for the Oceans” in Quy Nhon City of the central province of Binh Dinh was held yesterday, attracting hundreds of runners.

The global event aimed to increase awareness of marine plastic pollution threats as well as inspire to people to act for the environment protection.
Adidas contributed US$1 for every kilometer participants run together, capped at $1.5 million, to the Parley Ocean School which educates and empowers kids to become the next generation of ocean guardians through immersive experiences in the environment people are fighting to protect.
“Run For the Oceans” firstly started in New York in 2017 and it attracted millions of participants, mobilizing $1 million globally in 2018.
It is expected to inspire Vietnamese people to save oceans together.
