Police arrest two illicit labor agents involving in UK lorry tragedy

Investigating police in the central province of Ha Tinh decided to arrest one illicit labor agent and detained one another in connection to the tragedy of 39 deaths in the back of a lorry in the UK last week.

Additionally, police also summoned several others to question about trafficking people to foreign countries.
The identities of these people have not been publicized because the investigation is ongoing.
Police said after being informed by ten families about their lost relatives on the way to the United Kingdom after the announcement of 39 deaths in the refrigerated lorry tragedy, police started investigation over people and organizations involving in the case under the direction of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Public Security.
Local police and their peers from the Ministry are together carrying out the further investigation. They also got DNA test for verification of the deceased.
Laborers in Ha Tinh reportedly said they paid a large amount of money to agents to have trips to England.
Police in the United Kingdom yesterday said they now believe all the people found dead in the back of the lorry were Vietnamese nationals.
