PM abolishes titles of former officials for Formosa case

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc yesterday signed decisions to discipline four individuals who are former leaders of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and Ha Tinh province for violations relating to Formosa environmental disaster in four north central provinces.

Specifically, the disciplinary measure of warning is applied to former Minister of Natural Resources and Environment during the tenure from 2011-2016 Nguyễn Minh Quang.
The PM decided to abolish the title of former deputy Ministers of Natural Resources and Environment to Bui Cach Tuyen and Nguyen Thai Lai.
Title abolishment is also applied for former deputy chairman of Ha Tinh province People’s Committee in the tenure of 2005-2010 and former chairman during the term of 2010-2015 Vo Kim Cu.
