Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung said at present, the country has 24 groups of “weak people” including over 6 million disabled people (comprising of more than 3 million blind and visual-impaired people ).
Minister Dung said that hand-over of white cane and training of using the cane plus media campaign aims to raise people’s awareness towards disabled people.
Deputy Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong said the country has committed to socio-economic development, taking care of social equality and improving social management ability.
Accordingly, to make sure that no one was left behind, we need to have more solutions including connecting kind-hearted persons together”, she said.
