The central province of Nghe An’s Ky Son mountainous district Head of Administration Office Phan Sy Thang said hundreds of households in the district have to move out of the dangerous areas due to the flooding and landslides.

260 households at Muong Tip commune and 99 families at My Ly commune were moved to safer places in the past days. At Muong Ai commune’s Xop village, 2 houses were collapsed and swept away, 11 houses were damaged.

Landslides threaten hundreds of students who are studying at school at the foot of sloping mountain at Muong Tip commune. Nghe An authority sent urgent plan to overcome landslide spots at Vang Phao village.

On September 12, the road connecting Muong Tip and Muong Ai communes had still been disrupted and local people at the two communes were isolated by landslides for many days. Ky Son district authority mobilized all forces to overcome the consequence.
