Hanoi orders reports of unbaked construction materials

People’s Committee in Hanoi issued a document asking relevant agencies, departments and people’s committees in districts to implement the Ministry of Construction’s guideline on utilizing unbaked building materials in construction works.

As per the Hanoi People’s Committee’s document, the Department of Construction was assigned to test utilization of the new construction materials and then make a report of production and using the “green” materials in the capital city to the commitee and the Ministry of Construction before January 28, 2018.
The Ministry’s guideline takes effect on February 1, 2018, stipulating using of unbaked building materials as walls and bulkhead in civil constructions and industrial construction.
Under the guideline, constructions invested by the state budget, state fund or enterprises’ loans more than 30 percent from state banks must be used unbaked building materials.
The proportion of the material varies dependently on localities. For instance, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City must use unbaked construction materials most. Special constructions using baked building materials must be approved by local authorities.
