Hanoi appeals investment in water-related projects in rural districts

Hanoi has been appealing investment in water-related projects, said Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung at a working session on fresh water supply on September 6.

Chairman Chung said that the capital city of Vietnam has been calling for 39 water-related projects including 11 water resource projects and surface water supply projects in countryside.
Simultaneously, Hanoi authority asked investors of plants such as Van Tri-Bac Thang Long, Song Da and Duong Noi to expand the plants’ capacity.
In addition to available water supply stations, the capital city greenlighted investors to use filtering technologies. Duong Noi water supply station has applied German filtering technology.
In the next time, Hanoi will check all polluted drilled wells and filled all of them to protect underground water. The city authority will give support to households with the remaining of 300,000 drilled wells in rural districts.
