Government to fine wildlife killing,ban old machines,call for using local drugs

According to the government’s edict 35/2019 taking effect on June 10, 2019, those who illicitly kill and poach wildlife will receive fine from VND5 million to VND400 million ($17,095) in addition to other penalties.

Illicit poaching wildlife leads to big fine in Vietnam
According to the government’s edict 35/2019 taking effect on June 10, 2019, those who illicitly kill and poach wildlife will receive fine from VND5 million to VND400 million ($17,095) in addition to other penalties.
Moreover, those building a fire to catch animal or take honey, war material will also receive a fine of VND1.5 million to VND3 million and those chopping down tree in forest or discharge toxic substance causing detrimental harm to forest without permission will be fined VND200 million.
Individuals who violate the forestry regulations will receive a fine of VND500 million while an organization will receive VND1 billion for the same violations.
The new rules on drinking as an airline passenger
Airlines have the right to refuse to carry drunk passengers that they consider to be a potential risk to the safety of the aircraft. This circular takes effect on June 1, 2019.
Airline managers will decide carry or not passengers with mental health problem. Acceptance is done only if a passenger with mental health problem is escorted with relatives or a physician to control their abnormal behaviors.
Airline passengers are allowed to carry maximum one liter of liquid in closed-sealed bottle in international flights.
E – border crossing procedure conducted relentlessly
According to the government’ decision 15/2019 taking effect on June 1, electronic border-crossing procedure will be conducted relentlessly everyday including holidays and weekends.
Issuance of the index of 640 locally-made medicine
In its circular 03/2019 taking effect on June 1, the Ministry of Health has issued the index of 640 domestically-made medicines to meet treatment demand.
Ban of import of over-ten-year-old machines
Machinery, equipment and production lines that have been used for over ten years will be prohibited from being imported into Vietnam from July 15 next year, according to a new circular 18/2019.
Apart from this, some machines for processing wood furniture and paper production have not been used over 15-20 years.
Also according to the new circular, second-hand machinery, equipment and production lines are not imported into Vietnam if they have not been in operation in exporters because of low quality or making harm to environment.
Reduction of commune officials
The circular 34/2019 says that the number of officials in communes should shrink. Specifically, maximum 23 first-level officials work in commune ( before, the number is 25).
The circular takes effect on June 25, 2019.
