Fishermen harvest huge number of clams

In the recent days, the Cua Sot fishing port received 30- 50 fishing boats which returning home to avoid tropical typhoon Doksuri, with an average 120- 150 tons of clams, said director of management board of Cua Sot fishing port in Ha Tinh Bui Tuan Son.

Accordingly, traders purchased at a price of VND 3,700- 4,500 a kilogram and  delivered to other provinces to process seafood products.

Local fishermen earn much more income from fishing and also create job for them.
The clam belongs to the family of Arcidae with a scientific name being Anadara subcrenata.
