The bridge connecting the two central provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh has length of 5.271 kilometer.
The cost of the bridge is estimated to total VND950 billion ($40.8 million); VND450 billion is from selling the government bond while the remaining is taken from Nghe An and Ha Tinh state budget.
It is scheduled to complete after 18 months.
Transport Minister Nguyen Van The said the bridge has important meaning in connecting the two central provinces with other pushing socio-economic growth ensuring for the central security and defense as well as reduce traffic flow in the National Highway No.1
The Minister requested localities and contractors to work closely in site clearance work to make sure the construction progress and quality.
