Deputy Head of the Husbandry – Animal Health Department Thuy Le Vu said that African Swine Fever is spreading amongst farmed-raised pigs and the province has killed nearly 23,000 pigs.
He warned competent agencies would throw a book at those dump diseased pig carcasses in streets or rivers. People should inform local animal health competent agencies about their ill animals for testing and burying as per the regulations.
Deputy Chairman of People’s Committee in Commune Cu E Bur H’Luanh Eban said local administration has cleaned up the street burying pig carcasses.
She added vets have destroyed 64 infected pigs of a farm in the commune; however, it’s difficult to discover the wrongdoing because some residents throw away dead pig carcasses in the night.
Before, People’s Committee of Dak Lak Province had asked relevant agencies to fight against dumping dead pig carcasses in streets and rivers.
