Malaysia: 11 people dead, missing in landslide

Eleven people, mainly foreign workers, were killed in a landslide at a construction site in George Town in Penang state of Malaysia on October 21.

The incident occurred when the victims were working at the Tanjung Bungah construction site on George Town’s outskirts. Tonnes of rock fell from a height of 10 metres, buried 11 people, including one Malaysian construction site supervisor.

Functional agencies discovered three bodies of two workers from Bangladesh and one from Myanmar. 

As of 4am on October 22, three more bodies were found, including two Indonesians, bringing the death toll to six.- VIETNAMPLUS.
