One more PPP hospital set up in HCMC
15,235 meter square Gia An Hospital 115 is the PPP hospital between People Hospital 115 and Gia An Hospital has been given the green light by People’s Committee to improve treatment quality generally and the southern region particularly.
Gia An Hospital 115 is the second facility in the Hoa Lam Shangri-La Hi-tech Park in Binh Tan District specializing in Heart, Nerve- Stroke, Endocrine, Orthopedic- Trauma, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. It has ten floors and well-equipped treatment wards with 367 beds.
Medical workers from People’s Hospital 115 will give assistance to the newly-established hospital to curb patient overload.
Deputy Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu, head of the Health Ministry's Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Luong Ngoc Khue and leaders of ministries and agencies attended the inauguration ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Health Professor Nguyen Tan Binh said that PPP in health sector has been carried out in the sector for years but just in small clinics and satellite infirmaries.
The first PPP hospital Gia An marked the comprehensive public and private partnership.
Mr. Binh expected the health sector will facilitate the hospital operation to develop high technologies to stop patient overload and raise treatment quality in public medical facilities.
