Japan’s Miyagi prefecture learns about cooperation opportunities in HCMC

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Thanh Phong received Mr. Yoshihiro Murai, the current governor of Miyagi Prefecture on August 29. 

At the meeting, Chairman Phong affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City always actively promotes relations with Japan’s localities, including Miyagi; and he desired both sides will have cooperation programs in the fields of high-tech agriculture, urban infrastructure construction, plasticization technology, electronics engineering and processing industry.

Additionally, HCMC also wants to strengthen cooperation relations in the fields of education and ecotourism, cooperation in cultural festivals and people-to-people exchange programs. 

According to Mr. Yoshihiro Murai, the purpose of the working visit of Miyagi prefecture’s delegation is to learn about economic development, exchange new opportunities for cooperation and investment between the parties. 

The Miyagi enterprises highly appreciated Vietnam's socio-political stability and the trend of increasing investment in Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City day by day.

Therefore, Yoshihiro Murai pledged to create the most favorable conditions for the cooperation activities of exchanging and connecting between businesses and people of the two localities.
