HCMC appeals investment in 51 projects of tourism, culture

Ho Chi Minh City authorities appeal for investment in tourism and culture projects worth VND40,000 billion ($1.7 billion) at a seminar to promote sustainable tourism connectivity between HCMC and the 13 city and provinces in the Mekong Delta at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7 yesterday.

Culture projects in HCMC include multi-purpose art performance house in District 2 covering the area of more than 17,000 square meters, water sports center in District Binh Thanh covering the area of 11,000 square meters and convention & exhibition complex center in District 2 on the area of 83,000 square meters.
Simultaneously, the Mekong delta provinces also called for investment in tourism projects. Tourism projects include eco-tourism area in Ba Dong sea’s mangrove forest in Tra Vinh Province, Commercial amusement establishment Tinh Bien in An Giang Province, Bung Binh Thien tourism area and ecotourism Tan Loc islet in Can Tho.
To attract investors, localities offered preferential policies such as tariff exemption and supported to train personnel and project cost.
