$4 million allocated for upgrading disaster prevention works

People’s Committee in Ho Chi Minh City has given the green light to Thu Duc District’s plan of VND110 billion (US$4,741,890) for upgrading disaster prevention works.

The sum will be spent on repairing major construction in the district. Specifically, VND85,991 billion taken from the district’s budget will be used for upgrading 16 works while VND24.204 billion from the city’s disaster prevention fund will be used for 25 key construction works.
These works will prevent high tide and inundation to protect residential quarters in the district.
The city People’s Committee asked Thu Duc authorities to be responsible for work quality and efficiency in the rainy season of 2019.
