Spa salon receives fine of US$3,875 in Da Nang

Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee Huynh Duc Tho yesterday signed a decision to impose an administrative fine of VND90 million on Nguyen Ha Giang who owns the Gang Nam Spa Salon at 68 Ly Tu Trong Street in Hai Chau District.
Spa owner Nguyen Ha Giang was penalized for not having order security certificate. Plus, she used foreign language to advertise her business and provide uncertified services.
Moreover, the facility was asked to suspend its operation in nine months.
Before, a group of customers paid a visit to the spa on September 11 because they were attracted by the spa’s advertisement. The group of female customers paid VND400 million for breast augmentation surgery, liposuction and skin whitening.
However, the group of female customers later flocked to the spa asking the salon to do what it promised to do as per the advertisement and then reported to police.
Police officers rushed to the facility to inspect. The spa owner could not produce business license and there were many medicine and liquid in the spa without clear indication of origin.
