A pharmaceutical company in Hanoi was fined VND75 million ($3,216) for violating advertising regulations on nutritional supplement.

Head of the Food Administration of Vietnam Nguyen Thanh Phong yesterday said that it has issued administrative fine on Dong Do Pharmaceutical Company at 177 Trung Kinh Street in Hanoi’s Cau Giay District.
On its website, Dong Do Company has boasted that its product, Gastimun HP, can be used as a drug to treat people’s illness, even the supplement was advertised that it can help increase people’s resistance against bacteria H.pylori, protect their stomach and improve their health during treatment of gastric lesions.
