This year’s action program will deliver message of “I act for food safety” and “Building a community for food safety”.
The program has drew participation of 150,000 members of trade unions and thousands of volunteers who posted sticker and poster in stores, supermarkets and households businesses to attract consumers’ eyes in order to call for their actions.
The trade unions also held a cuisine competition to improve people’s awareness of food safety.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said that the Ministry is one of three ministries to supervise food safety matter. During last time, the Ministry has carried out many synchronous solutions for a safe food market as well as help business to build their brand name.
Moreover, the Ministry also consulted to build supermarket chains to sell safe food and applied management methods to trace back the origin of food.
Additionally, the Ministry organized activities to provide Vietnamese exported commodities for supermarkets of FDI enterprises and introduced Vietnamese-made goods in foreign countries and worked with police force to prevent production of sub-standard commodities or smuggling of fake goods.
