Mr. Thuong made the statement at a yesterday meeting about satellite emergency service. The number of satellite emergency facilities in the city surged from 28 units in 2018 to 31 now, including six institutions with motorcycle ambulance.
According to meeting participants, satellite kind works more effectively than the Emergency Center 115 upon the number of ambulance and transferring cases in 2019.
Nevertheless, the satellite emergency stations are short of ambulances and there seemed to be only a loose connection between the Emergency Center 115 and satellite stations. There has been no smart management system between the two.
The Department of Health will raise the concerns to the city’s People’s Committee, asking for some more ambulances; suggest the Ministry of Health to allow universities to train paramedics for responding to emergency calls for medical help outside of hospitals, said Dr. Thuong.
