HCMC Children Hospital opens pediatric ward in Tra Vinh Province

Ho Chi Minh City Children Hospital yesterday officially inaugurated pediatric ward in the hospital in Tra Vinh University’s premise in the Mekong delta province Tra Vinh.

Physicians will come to provide examination and treatment for locals on Fridays and Saturday weekly.
Dr. Truong Thi Thu Hien of Tra Vinh University said that presently, many disadvantaged kids in distant districts of the province with fatal disease are unable to get access to high quality medical services; accordingly, the new pediatric ward is expected to take care of them.
Insured children patients under 15 years old are entitled to enjoy medical services in the new well-equipped ward.
Deputy Director of HCMC Children Hospital Dr. Nguyen Minh Tien said that thanks to the HCMC Department of Health, the new ward is established to help locals get access to better healthcare services.
Physicians of the Children Hospital will additionally transfer medical techniques and skills to their peers in the province.
