First Vietnamese physician awarded title Professor of Grenoble Alpes University

Director of the City Blood Transfusion and Haematology Hospital Phu Chi Dung is the first Vietnamese physician who was awarded the title professor - high-ranking lecturer by Grenoble Alpes University in France.

The university yesterday announced the news.
According to Professor Jean Hoang Chung Minh of Grenoble Alpes, Director Dung must fly to France to deliver lecture in three months in a year and enjoy a salary equal to his French peers.
However, because of working in the hospital in Vietnam, Dr. Dung will visit the university in France several times to deliver lecture without salary.
Director Dung has contributed greatly to Vietnam- France cooperation as well as deliver lecture in medical universities in Ho Chi Minh City. Moreover, he organized seminars on cell transplant Vietnam- France twice a year since 2010 as well as work with hospitals in France in the field of transfusion and haematology.
In 2017, Dr. Dung sent his document including CV and scientific researches in local and international journals to the university’s council. This year, he was awarded the title.
