Deputy head of the Children Hospital’s Kidney- Endocrine Department Dr. Tran Thi Huong said that the kid has symptoms which most people with Cushing syndrome experience including round, red, full face (moon face), weight gain with fat accumulation on the trunk, but fat loss from the arms, legs, and buttocks (central obesity), excess hair growth on the face, neck, chest, abdomen, and thighs.
After receiving test result, doctors diagnosed the kid to have Cushing syndrome which is a disorder occuring when your body has a high level of the hormone cortisol. The disease usually happens in adults while the world reported 21 or 22 cases in kids caused by adrenal glands.
