Therefore, Deputy President of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology Duong Thi Hong said that Hanoi will bump into difficulties in disease prevention mission in general and in dengue in particular because of climate change, migration and urbanization.
In related news, the Department of Health in the Mekong delta province of Ca Mau announced the complicated development of dengue, hand-foot-and mouth and measles on the same day.
Specifically, 449 cases of dengue; 1,361 cases of hand-foot-and mouth and 1,295 cases of measles have been reported.
Managers of the Children Hospital in Can Tho City said that its physicians have provided examination and treatment to more than 292,000 kids including over 17,000 inpatients within first six months.
Noticeably, there has been a rise in hand-foot-and mouth, dengue and measles with 764, 871 and 599 cases respectively. The infirmary has arranged more beds in corridors to admit inpatients.
