This is the first time Alfred Music has solely published music teaching books in Vietnamese version in the Southeast Asian country. At first, AMPA Education will introduce teaching books of piano, guitar and vocal music.
A representative of AMPA Education said that it decided to translate music teaching books into Vietnamese because it wants to create an educational environment for young children in Vietnam to have access to international standard creative education so that children can start learning music through songs of their right age.
The first book is Alfred’s Basic Piano Library that provides age-appropriate piano methodology for beginner children.
Basic Classical Guitar Method by Scott Tennant with three books is one of the new publications. The design of the three books has illustrative picture and attached sound file featuring step-by-step instructions from basic to advanced techniques for classical guitar learners.
Additionally, the book author writes advice of how to choose a guitar and take care of the instrument
Meantime, Singing For The Stars is written by Hollywood's leading vocal coach Seth Riggs, who is known as the vocal teacher of Michael Jackson, Anita Baker, Natalie Cole, Thanh Bui and hundreds of other internationally acclaimed singers. The book includes printed and audio sections with illustrative pictures and detailed instruction in Vietnamese with expectation to help learners to understand basic rules in learning the musical instrument.
Established since 1922, being one of the world’s most prestigious publishers, Alfred Music provides educational, reference, pop and performance materials for teachers, students and professionals covering every musical instrument, style, and levels. It has published more than 150,000 books.
In the S-shaped country, AMPA Education gives Trinh Cong Son scholarships to small music talents. Next time, it will carry out projects Dream Space and Arts Nation including community activities to create a playing ground of music for Vietnamese children.
Books are being sold in stores countrywide.
