Speaking at the National Press Award taking place on Friday, Education Minister Phung Xuan Nha said that press articles have disseminated policies and guidelines in education to all residents.
2019 is the second year the Ministry of Education and Training has organized the award in order to honor reporters who have written about achievements and reforms in education sector in all areas in the country. Thanks to these articles, devoted teachers and groups of teachers who have greatly contributed to the education profession have been honored and respected.
This year, the award organizer received nearly 1,000 entries of four kinds of press.
The special award was given to the group of reporters Le Thi Hang, Kieu Thanh Phuong, Tran Ba Duy, Tran Nguyen Anh Thu and Cao Thi Phuong Lan from the Voice of Vietnam 2 with articles about teachers who volunteered to teach ethnic minority students in distant mountainous villages.
Two outstanding figures of the press award this year were teacher Kim Thi Minh in articles of the group of reporters from the Voice of Vietnam 2 and teacher Luu Van Hoa in article “ Class in Noc Ong Ruong" of the Vietnam Television.
Mr. Nha said press articles have discovered and encouraged good teachers and students to overcome difficulties in teaching and learning .
Accordingly, the Ministry will continue to launch the National Press Award. The Minister hoped that the award will attract more good articles participation as encouragement for the sector.
Teacher Kim Thi Minh were moved at the award-giving ceremony saying that the award was an incentive to encourage her in the teaching profession.
