Vietnam – Korea Fine Art Competition ends

Artist Pham Thuan won the first prize at  the Vietnam – Korea Fine Art Competition for Vietnamese artists under 45 which is held by Korean Cultural Centre and Vietnamese culture ministry’s department of exhibition, photography and fine arts.

The second and third prizes went to artists Le Anh and Nguyen Ngoc Thanh respectively.

The fisrt-prize winner will receive a trip to Korea and be organizeorganized a solo exhibition at the Korean Cultural Center. The second-prize winner will also get a trip to Korea and a cash prize of US$200. The third-prize winner will be offfered a cash prize of US$200.

14 artworks of the final round of the competition are displaying in an exhibition called "Korea-Tradition and Modernity" at the Korean Cultural Center in Hanoi. The event runs until July 17.

The painting contest “Vietnam – Korea Fine Art Competition” aims to to celebrate the 25th diplomatic relationship between Viet Nam and south Korea in 2017. 

It was opened for Vietnamese artists under 45 to discover Korean culture and promote cultural exchange between the two countries.
