Pacific Alliance Film Festival 2019 firstly held in Vietnam

The Pacific Alliance Film Festival will be held for the first time in the central coastal city of Da Nang on December 6-8.

 The embassies of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru in collaboration with the People’s Committee and the Culture and Movie Center of Da Nang City organize the film fest.
The Pacific Alliance is an initiative of integration comprised by Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, with the objective of building an area of deep integration, promote growth and become a platform of political articulation.  
The screening program of the “Pacific Alliance Film Festival” will address a series of topics and genres related to the social and cultural backgrounds of the member countries of the Pacific Alliance, so as to generate a meaningful exchange with local audiences.  
All films, including “Violeta Went to Heaven” about Chilean singer and folklorist Violeta Parra directed by Andrés Wood; Mexican comedy film ”The Kids are Back” directed by Hugo Lara Chávez; “Old friends” by Peru’s director Fernando Villaran Lujan; and Lila's Book by Colombian director Marcela Rincón, are free and will be screened in Le Do Theater with Vietnamese subtitle.
