Music night praises Hanoi

A music festival titled “Hanoi dep mai muon doi” (Hanoi beautiful for ever) will take place at Au Co Vietnamese Cultural Center in Hanoi on the night of October 2 with the performance of 40 well-known singers of the revolutionary music.

The program will be attended by People’s Artists Thanh Hoa and Thu Hien, Meritorious Artist Duong Minh Duc, Quang Tho, Trung Duc, Quang Huy, Ha Thuy, Hong Nam and Hong Lien.

During the program’s three themes, the singers are expected to perform 32 songs about Hanoi’s historical phases within the last 65 years.

The first theme “Return to the capital” will show the revolutionary sonority and the atmosphere of the fight for independence and peace.

The second theme “When the city lights up” would be songs about developing Hanoi with new works and bright optimism.

The third “Hanoian songs” will extol the peaceful and profound beauty of the country's heart, manifesting through the elegant and gentlemanlike lifestyle of the capital residents.
