15th Asia - Pacific Bonsai And Suiseki Exhibition opens in HCMC

The 15th Asia – Pacific Bonsai and Suiseki Festival featuring beautiful and unique Bonsai arts opens at the Suoi Tien Tourism Cultural Park in Ho Chi Minh City from November 15-17.

The exhibition presents nearly 1,000 ornamental artworks from 40 provinces and cities around the country and more than 250 Suiseki (natural stone art works) works with variety or size and styles.
It is a chance to promote images of the country and Vietnamese people to foreign friends as well as give an opportunity for Bonsai masters to join, meet up, and exchange experiences.
The festival also include activities, such as an exhibition of Bonsai and Suiseki artworks, a contest on Bonsai works from Vietnam, Bonsai making performance and among others.
The event themed “The Art Bonsai – The Convergence of Friendship – Integration” is co-organized by the Vietnam Ornaments and Creature Association, and the HCMC Ornaments and Creature Association.
ASPAC is a biennial gathering of all bonsai lovers initiated for the first time in Bali, Indonesia in 1991 with the spirit of advancing the friendship among all bonsai lovers and the spirit of loving the nature and environment with the theme: “Friendship Through Bonsai.” Since then, it has been conducted biennially rotating from country to country within Asia Pacific region. While it is called ASPAC, the event actually also attracted all bonsai lovers from other region in the world.
