The trade turnover between the two countries is estimated to be more than US$ 100 billion. As of April, 2018, China has 1,900 projects worth US$12.5 billion, ranking the 7th among 126 countries and territories worldwide that have investments in Vietnam.
Secretary of Jilin’s provincial Party Committee Ba Yin Chao Lu said that Jilin Province is an important gateway in the Northeastern Asia region.
The province has recently expanded trade cooperation and investment in Vietnam. The bilateral trade turnover has increased 8.8 percent compared to the same period last year, especially cooperation in automobiles and agricultural products.
Jilin will foster the multi-sectoral cooperation with Vietnam and create advantages for Vietnamese businesses to invest in the province.
