At the third farmers workshop presided over by deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue in a string of activities of “Pride of Vietnamese Farmers” program, Mr. Sung said that agro-aqua-forestry export is forecast reach US$40 billion this year.
In the domestic market, farm produce consumption has been increasing according to residents’ income and industrialization and urbanization progress.
Despite obtaining many achievements and greatly contributing to the country’s renovation cause, agriculture and rural field and farmers would face difficulties and challenges from international integration, climate change and domestic economic difficulties, Mr. Sung said.
Farm produce consumption is a problem drawing much attention from central and local authorities and a crowd of residents now, he added.
