Chinese goods with fake Made-in-Vietnam labels continuously found

The Customs Division at Cat Lai Seaport in HCMC in coordination with authorized agencies intercepted a consignment of Chinese goods with fake Vietnamese origin labels on November 2.

The consignment was imported by Talalay Vietnam Rubber Company comprising 7.2 tons of blanket, mosquito net and pillow originating from China with the total value of VND591 million (US$25,397 million). They all had Made-in-Vietnam labels.

Previously in October, the Customs Division at Saigon Seaport also spotted nearly 8,500 garment products imported from China with fake Vietnamese and Korean origin labels.

In the meantime, the Customs Agency in the neighboring province of Binh Duong deterred a consignment of Chinese bicycles worth VND600 million ($25,784) with counterfeit Vietnamese origin.  The consignment was on its way to be exported to the US.
