VNA increases 1,100 flights for Tet holiday season

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines announced a plan to increase 1,100 domestic flights with nearly 220,000 seats during the Lunar New Year holidays from January 31 to March 2, 2018.

Accordingly, the number increased 14 percent compared to daily and 21 percent over the same period of last year.

From February 9- 12 and February 20-26, Vietnam Airlines will add around 115- 160 flights after 12 pm to 5:55 am next day.

The increase is applied for 15 domestic routes connecting between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City/ Vinh/Can Tho/ Phu Quoc, between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang/ Hai Phong/ Thanh Hoa/ Vinh/ Dong Hoi/ Hue/ Pleiku/ Quy Nhon/ Buon Ma Thuot/ Nha Trang/ Phu Quoc.

VNA is expected to increase around 237 flights connecting between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City by Boeing 787, Airbus A350 and A330; and add around 104 flights connecting between HCMC and Hue by Airbus A321.

Vietnam Airlines recommends customers to buy tickets via www.vietnamairlines.com or at the ticket offices and official agents of Vietnam Airlines.
