The total number of seats during the period will be 480,000, up 14 per cent more than normal and 4.5 per cent compared to last year.
The flights will be run on major routes, including Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang/Phu Quoc and Hanoi-Nha Trang.
VNA will operate additional flights from April 25 to May 4.
The carrier encourages passengers to purchase tickets early, make the earlier planning of the journey and to do online check-in to avoid long queues and waits, and shorten the processing time when the airport is overcrowded because of high travel.
