Visitors flock to President Ho Chi Minh’s hometown on national holiday

Thousands of nationwide holidaymakers visited the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh at Kim Lien Relic village, Nam Dan district in the central province of Nghe An.

According to Management Board of the Kim Lien Relic Site, the destination received more than 27,000 people on April 27 and 28. 

Of which, the largest number of visitors from Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa was reported. 

Seven among 983 delegations came from Japan, the United States and Sri Lanka. 

In Ho Chi Minh City, many tourists flocked to tourist areas such as Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Site and Dam Sen Cultural Park or shopping centers. 

In recent days, Saigon Zoo Park welcomed around 20,000 people a day, an increase of four times compared to normal days. 

On the same day, Director of Con Dao Tourism Park Nguyen Van Dung said that the local historical relic sites welcomed around 9,000 people within past three days, an increase of 500 arrivals a day compared to normal days.

14 flights, three Superdong express ships, one Con Dao express ship and one helicopter have departed from Ho Chi Minh City, Soc Trang, Can Tho and Vung Tau city to Con Dao every day to serve travel demand of tourists.

Con Dao district attracted a large number of people and visitors thanks to many activities such as cuisine festival and boat race.
