Tourist arrivals from Asian countries to Vietnam grow strongly

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the country has received 899, 738 international visitors this month, up 6, 3 percent in comparison with July, and 34, 4 percent over the same period last year.

Tourist arrivals to Vietnam by air, road and sea reached about respectively 779, 008; 12, 528 and 108, 202.

From January to August, Vietnam received 6, 45 million international tourists, up 25, 4 percent against the same period last year.

International arrivals to Vietnam have risen strongly, by 2, 8 percent from Hong Kong;  57, 9 percent from China; 37, 6 percent from South of Korean; 34, 9 percent from Thailand;  31, 8 percent from Italia; 27, 6 percent from Spain; 26, 6 percent from Laos; 26, 4 percent from New Zealand; 25 percent from Russia; 24, 3percent from Sweden. However, tourists from Cambodia decreased 12, 9 percent.

Domestic tourist arrivals reached at 43, 1 million visitors in the first eight month. Of these, 20, 5 million tourists visited and stayed in Vietnam. Tourism turnover attained VND 265, 152 billion, an increase of 22, 5 percent over the same period last year.
